My Silhouette Cameo Arrived Today!

I was so excited when I saw the UPS truck drive up! My new Silhouette Cameo machine was delivered right to my front door. I just couldn’t wait to get started. I quickly looked through the items included with my package purchase. (A quick shout out too Melissa at Silhouette School helping me choose the proper startup items.)

I hastily cleared a space for the Cameo next to my computer. What shall we call the new baby? I think I will call her “Cammie.” Yep! The USB cable will reach. Clearing off some of the desktop items which occupied this sacred space, I noticed that there was a little bit of cat fur that had accumulated. My wife glares: “Getting rid of the cats is not an option.” This must be why they sell Silhouette Cameo covers at SilhouetteAmerica.com & Amazon.com
And then it hit me. We are crafters are we not? My first Silhouette project will be to sew a dust cover and decorate it with the included heat transfer vinyl!
I carefully measured the machine. I took note of its top and side of profiles. I might want to sew a zippered pocket on one end to put some of the smaller tools or cutting blades in.

I will update this post as the project progresses, but right now I want to get to know Cammie!
